TK Reilly is the owner of TKR Research And Consulting, LLC. He has a PhD in astrophysics from Stanford University. As an undergraduate, he attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where he earned a BA in environmental studies, emphasizing policy, planning and ethics, and a BS in physics. He also earned a minor in chemistry.
After finishing his PhD, TK was a post-doctoral scholar at the California Institute of Technology Physics Department. Subsequently, he was a Fulbright scholar in Taiwan, where he taught physics, studied martial arts, and studied Mandarin Chinese. Upon returning to the United States, TK began his career as a consultant.
His consulting career has spanned best practices in mergers and acquisitions, expansion of the US auto industry into China, IT project management, data science project management, technology evaluations, innovative uses of existing and future sensors, technical writing, the creation of standards for LiDAR, and more. Over ten years of work, TK’s clients have been in the private and public sector.
Throughout his career working for a top-tier consulting firm, TK has been known as the go-to person for the projects that no one else can do. Although he considers himself a generalist, TK believes that his strength lies in his ability to quickly become an expert without the baggage of being “too close to the topic.”
